Internet Terminology

The term Internet can be broken down into a group of interconnected networks called nodes. Each node is capable of transmitting bytes of data either by a circuit or packet switched network. Some nodes can be clients, wherein each nodes can connect to the Internet through the servers, which are the service providers for a certain network. The presence of the Internet made communication easier. The Internet and the World Wide Web (Web) are sometimes interchanged, but the two terms are not the same. The Internet is composed of hardware and software infrastructures in a global system wherein the Web is only one of the services offered by the Internet. Through the Web you can access resources and documents hyperlinked together. Documents and images can be created using HTTP and SVG. There are different kinds of hyperlinking, but the gist is that a directory is made by interlinked documents.
