TCP/IP Protocol Suite

TCP/IP is, basically a set of rules or procedure for communication between a computer and the Internet.  It stands for ‘Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol’. These two form the most important protocols in the collection of ‘Internet Protocol Suite’.  Any system, using these protocols, uses the instructions defined in the protocol to send data or information. So, basically, TCP/IP describes how a computer should be connected to the internet and how the information must be exchanged between them.
