Internet Structure

The structure of the ever-expanding internet is hard to define. But when it comes to the Web, the scale-free networks are used. This is likened to how the Internet providers use an Internet exchange point to connect. Meanwhile large area groups such as research networks use their own sub-networks like GEANT, Internet2, GLORIAD and Abilene Network. In UK, there is a research network called JANET. These large sub-networks are divided into smaller networks for each part of the research to be identified in. The complex system of the Internet allows users to below to a network which is really a sub-network of a bigger network, which can also be another sub-network. Crossing over different sub-networks may also happen because of the impending presence of alternating network structures.
